Trekking in Nepal

Nepal, the “Kingdom of Himalaya” is an ultimate destination for the trekkers and expeditors. A trek in Nepal is a rewarding mountainous activity due to existence of snow caped gigantic Himalayas and great geographical variation. Here we find different altitude variation from 100m to 8848m from the sea level. Among world fourteen highest peaks, eight of them are found in Nepal.

Not only this, Nepal is the best place to experience unbeatable combination of natural beauty and culture. As different ethnic people such as Brahmin, Chhettri, Newar, Sherpa, Tamang, Magar, Gurung, Thakali, Kami, Rai, Limbu etc are living together, thus this country shows the divers cultures and traditions. During the trek, the trekkers enjoy by spectacular mix of lifestyle and wildlife, superb panoramic views of mountains, a diversity of landscape, subtropical to tropical vegetation, beautiful and endangered flora and fauna, as well as the hospitably of the people. Here guest are taken as the “incarnation of god” so the guest are warmly welcomed.

Nepal as being “a god gifted land” different people does the trek with different aspect. Generally people do trek for the adventure while as other do for the research, for the study of culture, feast and festival, and also for the religious purpose.

Here we can do the trek throughout year. General treks such as Annapurna classic, Tilicho Lake, Naar Phu Valley, Dhaulagiri, Everest, Everest Base camp, Kalapattar, Chola Pass, Renjo la, Langtang Valley, etc are done in mars-April-may and September to November while as short trek such as Helambu trek,  Ghorepani, Kathmandu Valley etc can do almost whole the year except June – July because of monsoon. But however, this monsoon season is the best period for the trek in Dolpo, Mustang, Simikot as these are untouched of rain.
In the world, Nepal is known by the Everest and shepra people so trek in Everest is one of the most frequent regions accordingly Annapurna, Langtang, Valley, Kanchanjunga etc. While as the most popular trekking peaks are Pisang Peak, Chulu East, Chulu West, Island Peak, Mera Peak, Lobuche East Peak, Pokalde Peak, in Everest region, Nayakanga Peak in Langtang region and, Singuchuli Peak, Tharpu Chuli Peak etc  

While we talk about trekking it does not means that the trekkers should be sportive. Trek can do by every person, different aged groups, having or none having experience. Even aged person as well as small children can do the trek with respect to the altitude and grade of trek. That’s why we have given the different grade for the trek. However, Sunshine Trekking has a very good experience in organizing different trek in different region and also for the family trek with small kids aged around two years, for the teenagers and for the aged person. The main important thing is to be in good health condition and able to walk 3-4 hrs for easy trek and 5-8 hrs for strenuous trek.
